WINTER MARQUEE WEDDING

Writer's picture: LouPaperLouPaper

A stunning winter wedding I had to share with you on the blog. Wedding planner Louise Perry weddings planned this gorgeous winter wedding with bold, rich tones for couple Vivi and James. Their big day combined a church service with a marquee reception at Vivi’s family home and was took place one week before Christmas. Wedding photographer Lucie Watson captured all the beautiful details.

I adore this picture of Vivi and James in the romantic light of the marquee and fab neon sign. This has to be the photo of the day!

Wedding Marquee Set Up

Rustic wooden banquet tables were set up within the marquee with wooden chairs. The roof of the marquee was adorned with romantic fairy lights and fab foliage centrepieces by Blue Sky Flowers. The rich tones of the linen, guest place names and flowers in vases look gorgeous and really standout in the photos.

The wedding stationery had a cohesive look with a watercolour purple floral design running throughout. Each table name I hand calligraphered using a dark purple ink, which were placed in gold and wooden frames, accessorised with candles and flowers.

It’s a lovely idea to add seasonal touches to your big day, such as the festive pinecones the couple chose to hold each place name. All guest names were individually printed in white onto purple card with the watercolour floral design.

The menu I designed with hand calligraphy in purple ink and the floral illustration around the edges. Each guest had a menu at their place setting.

Wedding Welcome Sign

The watercolour floral design continued onto the welcome signage also with calligraphy in purple ink. Placed on a rustic wooden easel with romantic candles to welcome guests.

Vivi and James wanted a fun and creative way for guests to sign a guestbook. The board contained a hand drawn illustration of the church they were married in, with the floral watercolour design and a touch of calligraphy. A beautiful keepsake they could display at home.

Bride and Groom Outfits

Beautiful bride Vivi wore a stunning bridal dress with long lace sleeves and her hair in glam waves, accessorised with a pretty pearl hairband. Groom James wore a smart morning suit with a black jacket, grey trousers, grey waistcoat, white shirt and a burgundy tie to co-ordinate with the wedding colour palette.

The bridesmaids looked stunning in gorgeous berry toned velvet dresses, so perfect for the festive period, accessorised with nude shoes, elegant hairstyles and beautiful bouquets consisting of pretty pastels, foliage and pops of berry-coloured florals.
