WHY YOU NEED A PRINTED WEDDING ORDER OF SERVICE

A wedding order of service is an item of stationery which includes all the information guests need to follow along with your wedding ceremony, whether it be a civil ceremony or church service. As they are there to celebrate your big day, it helps them feel included in what is happening and the significance of the ceremony.

An order of service includes any readings, hymns for church weddings and any traditions that will be taking place. It gives you an opportunity to explain anything or even translate for some guests if necessary! It’s also the perfect place to add a thank you message to your guests and outline who’s who in the bridal party.

An order of service provides a gorgeous keepsake from your wedding day, you can personalise as much as you like to include special messages or list out the members of your wedding party. It’s something you’ll truly treasure forever. Amanda and Jack requested for their venue illustration to be added to their order of service, along with personalisation of their names in hand drawn calligraphy.

If you’re having a destination or summer wedding and the weather is hot, an order of service can double up a fan to create a light breeze for guests as they await your arrival at the ceremony!

I design the LouPaper wedding stationery in collections which means the order of service is also in the same style and colour palette as the rest of your stationery. It helps pull everything together for a cohesive and stylish look to match the stationery on your wedding day.

If you’ve opted for a coloured card in your stationery collection, then the order of service provides an opportunity to add some colour in the ceremony too. The order of service can be any format you wish to fit the information you have or you can keep it streamlined to top line information. Whatever works best for your wedding ceremony and you as a couple. Tim and Katherine chose a DL size to list out the top line information and I personalised with white calligraphy.
