Wedding stationery isn’t just about letting your guests know the details of your wedding day. It’s an opportunity to show your guests an idea of what to expect in a stylish way, which reflects you as a couple.
At LouPaper I create wedding stationery in collections. Each collection includes a save the date and wedding invitation, the on the day stationery such as table names or numbers, guest place names, wedding menus, order of services, vow booklets and signage such as welcome signs, table plans and as many small or large signs as you require for your wedding day!
Each wedding stationery collection is fully customisable to the colours and style of your day. Think of the collections as a great starting point! I have a range of finishing touches available which include wax seals, bespoke monograms but today on the blog I’m focusing on wedding venue illustrations.
Having a wedding venue illustration added to your wedding stationery is a gorgeous personal touch and provides a wonderful keepsake too. The Ellie wedding stationery collection features a wedding venue illustration example combined with calligraphy and a traditional design.
I have lots of examples of where wedding venue illustrations have been added to wedding invitations. Here’s an illustration of wedding venue Millbridge Court in white was added to a wedding invitation on a dusky pink card.

Many couples opt for one of the wedding stationery collections for their wedding however I do also offer a bespoke stationery service. This invitation was a bespoke design for a Provence wedding featuring a watercolour venue painting on the envelope to accompany the calligraphy, monograms, floral details and letterpress printing.

When it comes to the wedding day itself, a wedding illustration can be added to on the day stationery such as an order of service. For Amanda and Jack’s order of service I added an illustration of their church on the front cover.

The venue illustration can be used across lots of the different wedding stationery. For this wedding menu I designed with a venue illustration above the gold calligraphy and watercolour foliage illustration around the edges, for a cohesive look with the rest of the wedding stationery with the pretty foliage illustration.

The wedding illustration can be added to larger signage on the day too. A popular choice is to add the illustration to welcome signs. Here’s a few examples…. firstly, for Hannah and Jack, with a white venue illustration and calligraphy on a watercolour burgundy background.

Secondly, a venue illustration in black on white card with elegant gold calligraphy for Hannah and Tom’s big day.

Thirdly, Rebecca and Michael had their wedding venue illustrated in white on a navy-blue background for their welcome sign.

The wedding illustration can even be added to a table plan! Here’s one in white on a pale blue table plan.
