As 2024 is wrapping up, it’s been a gorgeous year of weddings where bows and pearls have been popular, along with shaped stationery for a statement impact and large floral instillations to capture attention. I’ve also seen more unique ideas from couples and had fun with calligraphy, such as personalising tambourines to be used as guest place names. Let’s look ahead to what weddings in 2025 have in store for us!
Pantone have announced their 2025 colour of the year is ‘Mocha Mousse’, a rich, chocolately brown which evokes comfort and warmth. It’s earthy elegance pairs beautifully with neutrals for a sophisticated boho wedding stationery vibe.
Sustainability
More couples are opting for eco-friendly choices when it comes to their wedding day. I’ve written this separate blog post covering sustainable swaps. It’s a topic that looks like it’ll continue to grow further throughout 2025.
From choosing recycled paper to incorporating QR codes directing guests to a wedding website for guests to RSVP, there are lots of more eco-friendly tips to consider and which I can add to your stationery.

Statement Envelopes
The envelope is the very first impression of your wedding day so why not use it to create more impact?! Couples are moving towards a statement envelope for wedding invites using bold colours or envelope liners to stand out. I’ve got more wedding invite envelope ideas on this blog post. Expect to see more statement envelopes in 2025.

Personalisation
Personalised stationery will always be popular with wedding couples and this looks to continue next year. With so many gorgeous options I can add to your stationery, such as a bespoke wedding venue illustration to make yours truly memorable. Of course, my signature hand drawn calligraphy adds a luxurious personalised touch to your wedding stationery.

Wedding Breakfast and Flowers
2025 will be about a more relaxed affair with the wedding breakfast. Think more elegant dinner party vibes than a formal dining set up, such as long tables instead of lots of separate smaller tables. Weddings don’t have to follow all the usual traditions; you can mix things up to suit you!
Bold wedding flowers are a trend set to continue into 2025, alongside incorporating natural or non-floral elements within any displays. Here’s a gorgeous bold summery example using citrus fruits amongst bold linens for an interesting wedding breakfast table style.

According to Pinterest searches for ‘pink and orange flowers’ are up by 200% and a 300% search increase for ‘vibrant wedding flowers’. As pinners on Pinterest are planning ahead, we can expect to see this play out in 2025 weddings, with brides seeking colourful and clashing floral arrangements to bring energy and joy to their wedding day.
Statement floral pieces for the wedding ceremony backdrop continue to be popular for next year too, along with statement floral styles for the wedding breakfast set up, combined with lots of candles.

Wedding Cake and Dessert
2025 will be the year of the statement dessert! Say goodbye to the traditional iced 3-tiered cake and welcome either a giant dessert cake or an artistic, statement piece. Bridgerton inspired, vintage heart shape cakes look set to be a thing for 2025 and are something new and interesting for guests to look at too.

Bridal Looks
For brides 2025 looks to be the year for statement sleeves and mini dresses and expect to see more brides incorporating luxe textures and ornate detailing in their bridal choices.
Wedding Content Creators
One trend set to continue growing in 2025 is wedding content creators. This is someone who works alongside your wedding photographer and/or videographer to capture content of your day. But it’s a more behind the scenes kind of vibe to capture the authentic moments, without the waiting time of the professional photos.
