Priya who is a lovely friend of mine, married her partner Luke at venue Fort Ingles in Malaga, a unique venue in the Mediterranean hills with stunning views. The couple chose to blend Priya’s heritage by incorporating an Indian wedding dress as well as a bridal gown and Indian inspired bridesmaid dresses. Priya requested for a bespoke mandala illustration to be added to the wedding stationery which was a pleasure to do!
A late October wedding would be a weather risk in the UK but for Spain the sun was out, creating a sunny Spanish wedding with rural countryside magic. The couple opted for a forest green colour palette with touches of gold running through all of the wedding details. The guests were seated outside for the wedding ceremony with all the incredible views. Photographer Thoroughly gorgeous captured all the magical moments and the wedding day ran seamlessly thanks to wedding planner Sunshine Weddings Spain.
I adore how the gold calligraphy shimmered beautifully in the sunlight and you can see how the mandala illustration was added to the order of events card, on forest green to match with the other stationery items.
Wedding Breakfast Set Up
The al fresco wedding breakfast looked beautiful with the backdrop of the mountains and rustic chic vibes from the wooden tables and chairs.
Gorgeous green foliage adorned the rustic wooden tables as a table runner, combined with crystal glasses and gold cutlery. The table name added a pop of colour with my hand drawn calligraphy in white ink on forest green card.
The guest place names were pretty special on this one! Bride Priya made individual resin coasters with hand painted golden edges and asked me to hand calligraph each one for guests to keep as their wedding favour. I love a challenge of where I can add my calligraphy and they turned out beautifully. Each coaster was layered on top of a wedding menu in forest green featuring the mandala illustration and also a bespoke monogram of the couples’ initials in gold.
Wedding Signage
A top tip for wedding signage for destination weddings is to have signs printed on fabric, because they can be folded up and transported in a suitcase. Styled here with romantic candles for the evening.
Wedding Party Outfits
Bride Priya wore a beautiful halter neck bridal gown with her hair styled loosely with curls. Her seven bridesmaids looked gorgeous in forest green maxi Indian outfits.
Priya then changed in the evening into her incredible Indian dress. Groom Luke wore a three piece
tweed suit with a white shirt for the wedding day and evening.
Thank you so much to Priya and Luke for having me as a part of your sunny Spanish wedding day.
I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together! Here’s a few more photos from their wedding day, don’t miss the fab colour cannon shot…..
