Harriet and Andrew had an incredible destination wedding in the South of France. Located at La Tour Vancros, an impressive chateau hidden away in the Provence countryside. The couple planned a weekend of celebrations, starting with a welcome party with drinks and a grazing table held in the courtyard once guests had settled in. The wedding celebration took place on the following day in the late afternoon, followed by drinks and canapes at the chateau and the evening reception.
Destination wedding planner Wonderlust Events brought the couple’s vision to life with the bride’s fab attention to detail. I love the stunning floral arch for the ceremony backdrop and the floral arrangements used along the aisle, all in bright white mixed with foliage. Wonderful wedding photographer Anneli Marinovich captured all the beautiful details.
Bespoke Wedding Stationery
Harriet and Andrew chose to have a bespoke design for their wedding stationery. They requested a classic yet elegant style and I incorporated calligraphy, monograms and floral details which were all letterpress printed for a luxe finish. With an extra finishing touch of a watercolour venue painting on the envelope to wow their guests and give them a glimpse of what to expect when they opened the invite up. There’s more inspiration for ideas on my bespoke service on the website.
Destination weddings require a lot of planning and communicating all the useful information to guests is essential. This is where printed stationery steps in to do so but keeping it in a luxe way.
I created his and hers vow booklets for the couple, in the same style as the wedding stationery with calligraphy and tied together with a silk ribbon. Vow booklets are a gorgeous keepsake from a wedding day, especially when they look so beautiful!
Welcome Sign
Large signs played an important part in this destination wedding. The couple chose a welcome wedding sign personalised with their names in calligraphy on a white background. Styled with their pretty wedding florals and gently resting against a tree!
The order of the day sign had the same minimalist feel, letting guests know the timings of everything happening as part of the wedding day.
Instead of a traditional board table plan Harriet and Andrew chose a fabulous escort card display where each card was tied to a glass of bubbles. I designed the large sign using calligraphy saying cheers and the glasses were placed on beautiful shelving framed with floral meadows. Stunning!
An unplugged ceremony sign is a must if you prefer no phones during your ceremony. I designed this sign as the same style as the others for consistency across the day.
Alfresco Wedding Breakfast
The wedding breakfast took place as a romantic alfresco dinner, as the sun set over the chateau. Set up as a long banquet table styled with fresh white linen, adorned with white florals and fresh green foliage and a large floral arrangement at the end of the table.
Each place setting was simple yet elegant using calligraphy printed on white card which was tied to a grey napkin with a pretty silk ribbon.
Smaller Signage
Small signs and stationery items are important for saving seats or sharing information with guests on the day. The couple requested reserved tags for family to be seated at the front row of the wedding ceremony. I personalised these tags with grey calligraphy and text on white card.
Cocktail signs are a lovely way to let your guests know what is available but in a beautiful way and consistent with the rest of the styling on the day.
Wedding Outfits
Bride Harriet looked beautiful in her Suzanne Neville bridal gown with Dior shoes, Cartier watch and flowing hair. Groom Andrew wore a pale beige suit, a white shirt and brown shoes, also accessorised with a Cartier watch.
Harriet’s bridesmaids looked gorgeous in matching pale beige silk dresses, individual pretty hair do’s and each holding a bouquet of white florals.
The groom’s best men and groomsmen all wore matching pale beige suits to accompany the groom’s look.
I was delighted to be a part of this stunning Provence wedding and wish Harriet and Andrew a future of happiness together. Here’s some more pics of their Provence wedding day….
