Today on the blog I’m featuring a styled shoot from a light filled, romantic barn setting which has plenty of gorgeous inspiration for couples seeking elegant styling using neutral, muted tones. I loved creating the stationery for this one!
Rackley’s Barn is a beautiful barn filled with light and with stunning views over the Chiltern Hills. The barn itself has gorgeous light and creates a wonderful atmosphere for weddings of up to 120 guests.
Elegant Wedding Table
An elegant tablescape was styled to include crisp white linen and white crockery with silver bead detail. Featuring frosted glasswear and candles in various highlights, accompanied by dainty, beautiful floral arrangements. The table was situated in front of a stunning fairy light wall for a romantic and beautiful backdrop, along with the stunning chandelier lighting in the barn.
Both the menu and place name used handmade paper in neutral tones with hand torn deckle edges. Each place name was hand calligraphered with gold foil for a luxe look for each guest’s seat.
An impressive stunning floral display was created by florist Sorcha Herbert Flowers. Using spring foliage, pastel pinks and pops of oranges and accessorised with candles.
Neutral Toned Wedding Stationery
I designed a suite of wedding stationery especially for this shoot, based on the Deckle Collection which has a natural, honest aesthetic, using handmade paper with hand torn deckle edges. Hand calligraphy elements paired with serif typography and a muted colour palette are the perfect mix of old and new. I love the texture and tactile qualities homemade paper brings to any suite.
All of the curated collection of designs on my website can all be customised to suit the colours of your wedding palette.
Wedding Invitation
There are many ways in which invitations can be secured together. The invitation for this styled shoot was tied with a gorgeous chiffon ribbon for a delicate and romantic look.
A bespoke wax seal was used as a luxury finishing touch to the wedding invitation. For more ideas and inspiration for luxury finishing touches click here.
Wedding Cake
The wedding cake was a 3-tier iced masterpiece, adorned with beautiful blooms. Created for this styled shoot by artisan wedding cake designer, Charlene Russell from Cherry Tree Cakerie.
Bride and Groom Outfits
The bride and groom wore two different looks for the shoot. The first, the bride wears a romantic, hand beaded, fitted dress from Anna Mcdonald Bridal. Paired with a natural make up look by Hair & Make Up by Gabby, to emphasise the bride’s natural beauty. The bride’s hair was styled into loose waves and accessorised with a beautiful hair clip from Sarah Vuong Bridal Jewellery. The groom wore a blue three piece suit with a pale tie.
The second look was a slightly more formal affair with the groom wearing a black suit and pale tie. The bride wears another beautiful hand beaded gown from Anna Mcdonald Bridal, with her hair styled up to show the stunning earrings from Sarah Vuong Bridal Jewellery.
