Steph and Mark tied the knot at Hedsor House, a luxury Georgian house wedding venue on the outskirts of London in Buckinghamshire. The ceremony took place at St Nicholas’ of Hedsor, a small, picturesque 12th-century church close to the venue and the celebration followed. Wedding photographers Lauren Elizabeth and Anita K were on hand to capture all the magic of the big day.
The couple chose a classic yet contemporary wedding day style with golden calligraphy, nude tones from the bridesmaid dresses and formal black- tie suits for the groom and his groomsmen to set the tone of the day, amongst the backdrop of the magnificent country house venue. With gorgeous cream blooms nestled into fresh green foliage floral displays created by Seventh Heaven Events.
Order of service
For the church order of service I hand calligraphered the couples names in gold ink and added some bespoke foliage to the front cover design. A printed order of service is a lovely way for guests to follow along and feel involved. I’ve written some more advice on order of services here!
Sophisticated Wedding Breakfast
The wedding breakfast was set up in the Ballroom at Hedsor House with round tables for guests.
Alternate high and low floral table centrepieces in classic white and green were combined with crystal glass for a sophisticated modern tablescape.
Each guest place name was personalised in gold calligraphy on crisp white card, accompanied with a gold tassel. I added bespoke foliage to the corner of the wedding menu alongside a touch of calligraphy for the couple’s initials. Both items were layered onto a beige linen and the statement plate for an elegant guest place setting.
Wedding Signage
Steph and Mark chose a wedding welcome sign combined with the order of events to let their guests know the timings of the day. I personalised their names and the welcome title using gold vinyl on white card. Ask at your wedding venue if they provide an easel to place larger signage items as their easels will fit with their overall interior design.
The table plan used a similar style to the welcome sign with a gold calligraphy title of ‘your seat awaits’ and gold calligraphy for the table names, based on the couple’s favourite holidays. If you’re stuck on what to call your wedding table names then have a read of this blog post for some inspiration.
Wedding Party Outfits
Bride Steph looked stunning in her timeless, fitted bridal gown with lace detailing and lace sleeves designed by Ellis Bridals. With her hair styled into a glam twisted hair up do by Karen Lees, a hair do inspired by Kim K! Groom Mark wore a formal black-tie suit with white shirt and classic shiny shoes.
Steph’s six bridesmaids each wore a nude maxi dress in a combination of different styles and each holding a pretty green and cream floral bouquet.
I loved being a part of this elegant wedding day. Thank you Steph and Mark and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together. Here’s a few more photos from their amazing day….
