DUSKY BLUE BARN WEDDING

Sharing this blue hued wedding day on the blog today. Laura and Matthew got married in a church ceremony, followed with their reception at Beverley Barn in Yorkshire. Dusky blues were the colour palette of choice with a lovely added touch of Laura’s family tartan for a truly personal touch.

Barn Wedding Styling

Blue linen and blue chair drapes brought so much colour to the rustic barn, combined with fresh green foliage and white blooms, white linen and blue candlesticks. For the table numbers I hand calligraphed white ink onto a dusky blue background.

Each table had a sharing menu printed on pale grey card and tied with Laura’s family tartan ribbon. The couple also requested a bespoke illustration of their wedding venue which I positioned at the top. A venue illustration can be included on your wedding invitations or on the day signage too.

Each guest had their own place name hand calligraphered in white on a dusky blue folded card which the couple then personalised with a little note inside.

Wedding Signage

Laura and Matthew chose to combine their wedding welcome sign with the order of the day timings too. I designed the sign with white calligraphy and text on a pale blue card.

The table plan was printed onto fabric and suspended from a frame adorned with gorgeous foliage.

I love incorporating calligraphy onto different items for a wedding day, such as these confetti cones for after Laura and Matthew’s church ceremony.

Wedding Outfits

Laura looked beautiful in a long sleeve bridal gown with a deep v neckline and cut out back detail. Her hair was styled into a half up do with loose waves and accessorised with a pretty hair clip with a full length veil. Matthew wore a three-piece suit with a grey waistcoat, white shirt and navy bow tie.

The bridesmaids wore blue maxi dresses with lace detail in different styles. The groomsmen wore three -piece suits with bow ties to match Matthew.

I wish Laura and Matthew a lifetime of happiness together. Here’s some more images from their gorgeous wedding day…..
