DIY WEDDING STATIONERY VS A STATIONER

There is a huge range of wedding stationery available online and it can be overwhelming to choose the stationery you would like for your big day. This is where working with a stationer can really help because of their expertise and guidance on the process!

If you choose to work with a stationer, I think it’s important to click with them, so they understand you and the look you’re going for with your save the dates, invitations and on the day stationery. The save the dates and invites are the first thing your guests see to do with your wedding, so they are the perfect opportunity to make a big first impression and give guests a little taste of what is to come.

Ultimately, it’s your wedding day and your stationery should reflect your personality and interests as well as complimenting the theme, styling and colours of the big day.

Some couples have a very clear vision of what they would like and may find something they can order online that works for them. Other couples may need some guidance or inspiration which is where working with a stationer can really help. This is why I created a curated collection of stationery designs to help couples decide what they like. Each collection can be customised to the couple such as changing the colour palette.

The Emma stationery collection combines layers of gold foiled vellum for a gorgeous shine, subtle foliage details and a personalised monogram, in a black and white colour palette but can be customised to suit any colour.

For those couples seeking something completely different I also offer a bespoke service, where wedding stationery is designed as completely bespoke to you. I work closely with you to design stationery to suit your personality and style that is truly one of a kind.

Calligraphy Wedding Stationery

For me, hand calligraphy is something that I see as timeless. Each of my designs is calligraphered by hand which brings quirks and a bespoke quality to each piece of stationery. I hope that the stationery is cherished forever, and a wonderful reminder of my clients love story.

There are lots of other finishing touches you can add to your wedding stationery too, including a venue illustration, envelope liners, ribbon and initial monograms. To find out more ideas for luxury finishing touches have a look here.

Wedding Invitation Samples

I also offer samples of wedding invitations available to buy on my website to help couples make their decision. You can find them here. If you’re unsure of anything or would like to see the design for real before ordering, always buy a sample. This will give you an idea of the card quality, colours and finishing touches, and will confirm if you’re mind if it’s right for your big day.

On the Day Stationery

On the day stationery brings your wedding day to life, adding colour and style to your venue. Many couples are understandably worried about their budget but on the day stationery is usually one of the cheaper ways to incorporate the wedding colour into the big day such as wedding menus, place names and table names.

In comparison to the wedding dress, venue or flowers cost, the stationery will be considerably less! I offer many different options to cater to all kinds of budgets. Have a browse of my website for inspiration.

This is also where the benefit of working with a stationer comes in because any on the day stationery and signage can be created, personalised to you. Perfect for any details you would like to point out to guests and also keeps your wedding colours and styling consistent.
