BEACH WEDDING STATIONERY

Writer's picture: LouPaperLouPaper

If you’re considering a beach wedding for your big day and particularly if it’s in a different country, then bear in mind you’ll need to start your wedding planning early. Guests will want to be able to book their travel so they will require all the wedding information to be able to celebrate your big day with you.

Consider sending a save the date as early as you can,12 - 18 months in advance if you’re able to. Ideally invitations giving guests more detail of what is happening and when should be sent 6 - 9 months before the big day. You may choose to use a wedding website so everything is in one place and especially if there will be an itinerary beyond just the wedding day.

Beach Wedding Invitations

Ultimately it’s up to you and what you love as a couple for your colour scheme and design. Your save the dates and invitations give a first impression of what your wedding guests can expect so go with a design you love and which reflects you as a couple.

I have a curated collections of designs available on my website and you can order samples here to get a feel for the colours and foil options. All of the designs can be changed to your wedding colour palette, or I can create something completely bespoke for you.

The hand painted watercolour design used on The Faith stationery collection is popular for beach weddings for a soft and romantic look. The stationery can be customised to any colour and with or without foil.

Blue Wedding Stationery

The wedding stationery used for this particular beach wedding was inspired by the sea and blue skies with a watercolour blue design, white calligraphy and vellum layers.

If your wedding is on the beach you can still use styling elements to pull the wedding look together such as candles and decorative vases as used here, styled by Wonderlust Events.

Crockery can also be tailored to be the same as your wedding stationery colour if you have a particular colour palette for the big day.

Destination Beach Wedding Stationery

If you are having a destination beach wedding always consider how you will transport everything there. You can always ask close friends and family to pack some of the wedding items in their luggage. All the on the day items I design such as wedding menus, place names and table names are provided flatpack so easy for you to transport in luggage.

Beach Wedding Stationery Wording

If you’re going with a beach wedding then you might want to have a more relaxed, laid back approach when inviting your guests. During the process of designing your wedding stationery I can send through some wording examples to help you decide how to word your own save the dates and invitations.
