The vibrant colours of the autumn season are wonderful for a wedding. I can see why so many clients are favouring an autumn wedding because you can still opt for an outdoor wedding and the lighting looks great in wedding photos. The seasonal produce also allows some delicious wedding breakfast options or grazing tables with meats, cheese, fruits and nuts.
Rustic, boho, vintage, country and vineyard style weddings are all idyllic themes for autumn weddings, where the rich hues of nature create a gorgeous backdrop. At LouPaper, I design and create wedding stationery to compliment the wedding style and colour palette of your choice.
Autumn Wedding Invitation Colours
Autumn weddings always make me think of warm, earthy muted colours, alongside warm ochre and oranges. The gorgeous rich orange tones used across this wedding stationery suite are softened with warm neutrals. I have a curated collection of designs on my website and this example is The Hollie Stationery Collection in a different colour palette, to demonstrate how each of the collections can be customised.

Autumn colours work beautifully for wedding breakfast tablescapes. As demonstrated here for a styled shoot using mottled greens and yellows, different hues of orange and a few cream and blush pinks amongst the foliage. I created the personalised wedding menu and bridal place name in neutral muted browns and added a tassel for some texture.

Seasonal additions in floral arrangements look stunning in autumn. Leaves, feathers, fruits and berries all look amazing styled with warm reds and oranges, deep jewel colours or a more pastel palette with foliage for contrast.
A bolder palette can work for autumn stationery such as this purple watercolour background, paired with modern calligraphy in white. The backgrounds are hand painted with watercolour which can blend any colours together.

Crisp white stock is a perfect base for any time of the year because it’s so versatile. Adding hand drawn modern calligraphy in many different colours or foil for a luxurious look. The Eloise Stationery Collection features rose gold hot foil for an elegant finish.

Autumn Themed Wedding Invitations
Playing around with different textures is a good way to make your wedding stationery truly bespoke and works well if you’re styling different rooms within the wedding venue too.
For wedding stationery there are many different printing options such as The Olive Stationery Collection which has a letterpress printed invitation card and the hand torn deckle edges give texture.

Another example of using hand torn deckle edges on handmade paper. This time adorned with gold leaf for a stunning finishing touch. This stationery suite is based on The Deckle Stationery Collection.

Warm orange with neutral brown tones and crisp white gives an autumnal feel. I used curved edges on this stationery suite for a cool contemporary look. Paired with hand drawn modern calligraphy for a personal and bespoke touch.

Different textures and materials can be used for on the day such as this leather name place which I personalised with hand calligraphy and layered with a menu on neutral stone card. Accessorised with autumnal fruits and blooms on a stunning tablescape.

To add to the texture in this muted neutral stationery suite I also combined hand drawn calligraphy on vellum. I love using different layers, textures and materials in my wedding stationery designs.

Autumn Wedding Invitation Florals
If you are going for an early autumn wedding with lots of greenery, foliage stationery is a lovely choice. The Jenni Stationery Collection combines watercolour eucalyptus with hand calligraphy and contemporary typography to create a classic greenery filled design.
