Wedding venue Caswell House opened its doors to showcase ‘a Cotswold experience’ at its beautiful venue to a group of wedding industry planners. Caswell House is one of my favourite venues to work at, they really know how to host a wedding! I was asked to supply stationery as part of their gorgeous styled tablescape and some signage. More on that later! All the details of the event were captured by the wonderful wedding photographers Poppy Carter Portraits and Char Cook.
Caswell House is an exclusive hire wedding venue, nestled in the hills of the Cotswolds. A rustic, romantic and stylish setting with beautiful gardens, three restored barns with stone exposed walls and an environmentally friendly approach to weddings. A popular, family owned wedding venue welcoming weddings with up to 140 guests for the ceremony and dining and 200 guests in the evening. The gorgeous grounds include a courtyard perfect for drinks and socialising and even a moat with a bridge covered in beautiful wisteria.
There’s plenty of space in the grounds for wedding photos with beautiful backdrops and room to set up outside areas for guests with boho style relaxed seating, just as this event demonstrated!
Cocktail hour in the sunshine was made extra gorgeous with a bar area and parasols all in neutral tones with pops of gold by Hire Love UK.
Stationery and Signage
The welcome sign featured a venue illustration and calligraphy on a lilac background, placed on a white easel. Venue illustrations can be added to any of your stationery items and provide a gorgeous keepsake of your wedding day as well as bringing a pop of colour to the venue space.
Stationery is a fabulous way to welcome guests in style and to let them know what the order of the day is. I designed this itinerary with a touch of calligraphy on a pale lilac card, nestled amongst some Cotswolds produced honey and lavender biscuits for each guest.
Lilac Table Styling
Inspired by the gorgeous, colourful Caswell House grounds with wisteria in full bloom in May, the barn was styled with a lilac colour palette. The stunning floral arrangements including a suspended instillation all featuring an array of purple and pink blooms with fresh foliage by Joanne Carter Flowers. The table was beautifully styled with gold cutlery, pooky lamps, crystal glasses and lilac tumblers from The Luxe Collection UK, alongside smaller floral arrangements in crystal vases and lilac linen. All to the backdrop of the pretty fairy lights suspended from the exposed beams of the barn.
I hand calligraphered each guest name in gold on lilac card, layered on a pale lilac menu with a touch of calligraphy. The stationery was placed on to the white cabbage dinnerware set from The Luxe Collection UK, perfect for this setting.
The food was certainly a talking point! Caswell Kitchen at Caswell House pride themselves on using the finest quality seasonal produce and culinary masterpieces. With a flexible approach to building a wedding menu instead of limited set wedding menus, if food is your thing then this wedding venue needs to be on your list!
